Discovery Green Park

Thesis: This marvelous park bonds the city to a non-wilderness park, but a park that fits perfectly into the puzzle of a modern downtown.

Body Paragraph: The city of extraordinary movement, Houston’s downtown is a busy city with incredible high and disturbing noises. Like all other big downtowns, skyscrapers all around the city create a wall of noise that’s built by cars, people, construction, and alarms. The strong walls make the sound of every moving thing in the street travel through the opening like and underground metro coming from hundred meters away. This noise that builds up and travels with the wind its brought out into the border line of the tall blocks, flooding the park with musical orchestra completed by the natural sounds of birds next to you and the final touch of leafs scratching the concrete floors. Now when I am sitting in the deck I hear the wind carry the sound of a screaming tire, surf on the shallow lake and burst into small waves. This marvelous park bonds the city to a non-wilderness park, but a park that fits perfectly into the puzzle of a modern downtown.
