Phi Tran - The Waterfall

"Thesis"

The very moment you start to walk towards the wall, your senses are embraced by nature and the man made concrete tower.

"Last Body Paragraph"

The sound of water rushes inside your eardrums as you walk into the center of the water wall. Although there is a clutter of noise all around you, you are able to relax under the cool shade with the water splashing on your face. The sounds of children playing and families coming to enjoy the architectural beauty are drowned out with the thousands of gallons of water tumbling down. The water is very cool to the touch, a great contrast to the steaming summer day. You look around and find that you are completely surrounded by water. In a way, it feels like you are drowning, gasping for air, and then snapping back to the reality around you. You are in a loud, busy, public place.

  1. I was just at the waterwall last week and your paragraph describes it perfectly. From the loud water, to the kids playing soccer or football in the grassy field, you captured all the details. Good job with the sensory details, I felt like I was back at the fountain again!

  3. I personally like this location and i'm glad you decided to write about it. You were able to create the feeling of getting away and relaxing under a wonderful structure. The sensory of hearing was well put on this piece of writing through the examples of the you gave suck as "there is a clutter of noise all around you". Im sure your writing will encourage others to show up to the location.
